In fact, this butterfly weighs 4.4 oz.—only .3 oz. more than the typical Benchmade 42 Balisong, which is the standard many people measure other butterflies against. The Bear-Song IV is in no way a clone of the Benchmade 42, but it is a budget-friendly substitution for the 42. The latch on the Bear-Song is reversible, which isn’t a common sight on a butterfly. This knife also features anodized aluminum handles and stainless steel spacers.
