For newbs and gurus alike

Why, hello there. Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Kaylene, and I’m the new voice for this blog. I know—how did you get so lucky? The first thing you need to know about me is that I love being outside and being active. I’ve been a runner for more than 10 years, but I have only recently started to appreciate camping and hiking thanks to my dear husband, who is much more outdoorsy than me. He’s a good sport through it all, even when I wake up from a nightmare and insist that he check for panthers around the tent. Note to self: there are no panthers in Idaho.
With this new world of adventure, my eyes have been opened to all of the awesome gear out there. Did you know that there are tiny camping stoves that fold up to be about half an inch thick and a few inches tall? They do exist, and they are amazing.
Although I am new to Blade HQ, I am thrilled to be learning more about awesome gear. I come from a journalistic background, and because of that, I have an eye for the different and the interesting. As I’m learning, I hope to help you learn something new too, and I hope I make it interesting whether you’re a knife newb or a knife guru.
